Edwina Ardell Moody-Everett, affectionately known as "Dell," passed away peacefully on April 17, 2025, after courageously battling Lupus for over 40 years. She was 63 years old.
Born on December 6, 1961, Edwina was the beloved daughter of the late Mr. Johnny Lee Scott and late Mrs. Joanne Hamilton. She was born and raised in Folkston, GA, where she received her education through the Charlton County School System, graduating with the Class of 1979. Following graduation, Edwina worked in retail and was known for her kind spirit and attentive service. Her professional path was cut short when she was diagnosed with Lupus-a condition she faced with incredible strength, grace, and unwavering faith throughout her life.
On October 1, 1988, Edwina entered a loving union with Ferris Everett Jr. -a marriage built on deep love, partnership, and faith that endured for over 36 years. She was a loving wife, devoted mother, proud grandmother, supportive sister, and cherished friend. Edwina was also a devoted woman of faith and a proud member of the House of Faith Church in Folkston, GA, where she found spiritual comfort, strength, and community throughout the years. Her faith and warmth touched every life she encountered.
She leaves to cherish her beautiful memory her loving husband, Ferris Everett Jr. of Folkston, GA; two devoted daughters, Conchita Malaika Moody of Jacksonville, FL, and Courtney Monshea Moody of Folkston, GA; two adored grandchildren, Malaika Joanna Moody and Mateo Dior Moody; her brothers, Dwight Moody (Debra) of Charleston, SC, Jefferey Hamilton, and Eric Hamilton (Tunisha), all of Folkston, GA; her sister, Elaine Pollock (Ray) of Folkston, GA; maternal aunts, Johnnie Ethel Myers of Rochester Hills, MI, and Aggie President (Nathaniel) of Folkston, GA; paternal aunts, Ruth Morisset of Orange Park, FL, and Willie Mae Doyle of Winokur, GA; her godson, Captain Joshua Maxwell (Dr. Jessica) of San Antonio, TX; best friend, Elaine Hannans of Atlanta, GA; sisters-in-law, Barbara Everett of Poughkeepsie, NY, Cara Lisa Hubbard (Rechard) of St. Mary's, GA, and Julie Everett of Folkston, GA; brothers-in-law, Bishop James Everett, Rufus Everett (Gwen), Noah Everett (Sylvia), Bryan Everett (Dena), Elder Lawrence Everett, and Desi Everett, all of Folkston, GA; Gary Everett and Andy Everett of Jacksonville, FL; Mason Everett (Trenka) of Folkston, GA; and Valda Everett (Giovanni) of Kingsland, GA; a host of loving nieces and nephews, along with countless cousins and lifelong friends who brought her endless joy and will forever treasure the memories shared with her.
Edwina's legacy of love, resilience, and grace-rooted deeply in her family, faith, and the community of Folkston, GA-will forever live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

Remains will lie in state for one hour prior to services on Saturday (10-11 am), April 26, 2025 at The House of Faith Worship Center, Paxton Rd., Folkston, Ga. 31537
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 26, 2025 @ 11:00 am at The House of Faith Worship Center, 140 Paxton Rd., Folkston, Ga. 31537
Interment in Mt. Carmel Memorial Cemetery, Folkston, Ga.
