Thomas (Tommy) Earnest Duncan was born in Llano, Texas on July 7, 1947, to Ebb and Juanita Duncan. Tommy was called home on June 24th! He went out like he wanted, on the place that he loved. He was born and raised in Llano and graduated from Llano High School in 1966. He went on to attend Southwest Texas State University where he graduated with his BS.

He then went to Community Savings and Loan in Marble Falls and from there he went to University Savings and Loan in Llano before he landed his final job at First Llano/Arrowhead Bank where he spent 29 years serving the people of Llano. Once he retired, he ran for County Commissioner Precinct 3 and served the community for one term in that role. He served on the board for Central Texas Electric Coop and also served on the LISD School Board early in his life.
Tommy has been a member of Buchanan West Baptist Church where he taught Sunday school and was a deacon of the church for the past 32 years. For most of his life he ranched in Llano County.
