Tommy Gene Martin, age 73, passed away at 3:20 a.m. on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, at his home in East Prairie, MO.

He was born November 26, 1951, in Lafe, AR, to the late Gerald Martin and Wilma Coots Martin.

Tommy was an over-the-road truck driver for many years as well as being a dispatcher. He was a veteran of the United States Army and served in Germany. He was a member of VFW Auxiliary Post #3174 of Sikeston, MO. Tommy loved nature and especially enjoyed visiting mountains and streams. He was also an avid fan of wrestling and NASCAR and was a Little League coach for several years.

Tommy was married to Ruby Phillips Martin, who survives of the home.

Also surviving are four children, Christopher Martin (Courtney), Amanda Clark (Brad), Melissa Hancock (Heather), and Christopher Hancock; three siblings, Loretta Hays, Irene Stripling, and Ricky Martin; eighteen grandchildren and one newborn great grandchild.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Shannon Martin; and four siblings, David Martin, infant brother Gerald Ray Martin, Joyce Richard, and Johnny Martin.

Services will be held Thursday, October 2, 2025, at 1 p.m. at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, MO, with his son, Christopher Martin, officiating.
