Tommy Glenn Satterfield, age 67, of Cartersville, Georgia, passed away on Monday, January 6, 2025, at Redmond Regional Medical Center. He was born to loving parents and was preceded in death by his parents Ruth Gore Satterfield and Melvin Satterfield and his son, Cody Satterfield. Tommy was a dedicated and hardworking electrician, spending 26 years at Lever Brothers, where he was well-respected by his coworkers and peers. He was also a passionate and active member of Atco Baptist Church, where he attended the Men’s Sunday School class. His faith was central to his life, and he found joy in serving his community. Tommy was a devoted father, grandfather, and husband, and he had a strong love for sports, particularly the Georgia Bulldogs. He enjoyed coaching baseball for the City of Cartersville and the Bartow County Recreation Department, where he made a positive impact on countless young players. For the past several years Tommy enjoyed “holding court” every day with his friend Wayne Martin and the staff at Martins Wrecker Service He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Wanda Satterfield, whom he married on October 28, 1978. Together, they shared a life full of love, laughter, and cherished memories. He is also survived by his son, Josh Satterfield and his wife Stephanie, of Fairmount; four beloved grandchildren, Garrett, Kaylee, Evelyn, and Scarlett Satterfield; and two sisters, Peggy House and Hope Widner, both of Adairsville. Several nieces and nephews also survive. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Sunday, January 12, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Atco Baptist Church Fellowship Hall. At 4:00 PM, the family will speak and share memories to celebrate Tommy’s life.The family would like to thank everyone for their love and support during this difficult time.Arrangements are under the direction of Georgia Funeral Care, 4671 Main Street, Acworth, with Mr. Parnick Jennings in charge.In Loving Memory of Tommy Glenn Satterfield, who will be missed by all who knew him.
