Tommy Odell Sharpe Sr., 75. Mr. Sharpe was preceded in death by his parents; Robert & Margaret Sharpe, his wife of 31 years; Sarah Diane Sharpe, his daughter; Tammy Comperry, his son; David Carey, his granddaughter; Renee Comperry, sisters; Saundra Watkins and Teresa Brown, and his brothers; James Eugene Sharpe and Danny Ray Sharpe.

He was born December 7, 1949 to Margaret Regina and Robert Lee Sharpe. His jobs included candy maker for GooGoo, sanitation crewman and equipment operator for Metro government, painter and was an excellent restoration technician for Wasco, which he retired from. Tommy married his first wife Edna Forsythe in 1967, and a year later they had Tommy Jr. Six years later, they had their baby girl Regina Marie. They divorced in 1980, after which, he married his true love Sarah Diane on March 1st, 1983. This is when he became Daddy to her children, Tammy, Davey Jr. and Melissa a.k.a. Missy. Those five children gave them 13 grandchildren, Alicia, Renee, & Robert Comperry, Ryan and Ashley Sharpe, Joshua, Matthew and Adam Carey, Charles and Amber Landis, Ande Ford, Sarah, Elizabeth, and Gavin Cunningham, 22 great grandchildren and 7 great great grandchildren. Sweetie, which is

what he called Sarah, was the love of his life and he would do anything for her. His hobbies included fishing, hunting, playing billiards, bowling, and playing Yahtzee with his family. He was great at all of them. He also loved his dogs, Fred and Enzo. After his tumor in 2020, he went to live with his daughter Regina, and grandson, Ande. He loved playing with and picking at Ande, as Ande did him. He would sit and talk on the phone with his sisters Audrey and Saundra for hours and repeat everything over and over but would laugh and have them laughing every time. He had the best stories ever, and was great at telling them. In May 2025, he was diagnosed with cancer, which he fought till the very end. He was a loving, kind hearted, giving, gentle, and fun man who loved his coffee. He was always willing to lend a helping hand with encouraging words. He always made sure that no matter the

task, he was always willing to try his best to be his best! He was loved and will be missed by so many.

Visitation will be held Sunday, August 10, 2025 from 2 PM - 6 PM, and Monday August 11, 2025 from 3 PM - 7 PM, followed by Funeral Services at 7 PM, at Boyd Funeral Home, 101 Elizabeth Street, Ashland City, TN 37015
