Tommy Lee Walden, of Covington, passed away Wednesday, March 19, 2025, at the age of 79. Mr. Walden, a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully, longing to reunite with his beloved wife, Linda, of 60 years. A man of deep faith, he loved his church and took pride in hard work, spending his years building homes and tending his garden—especially his prized tomatoes. He cherished his loyal dog, Canaan, and spent his days collecting golf balls for his grandkids, enjoying the beach, and watching westerns. His love, kindness, and unwavering dedication to those he held dear will be deeply missed. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Linda Merlene Walden; mother, Ruth Sullivan; father, John (Nat) Thomas Walden; and brothers, John (Johnny) Thomas Walden, Jr., Larry James Walden.
Survivors include his daughters, Kimberly Bartlett, Robin Young (Robbie), Stacy Walden; Son, Jason (Lauren); grandchildren, Kirk Crawford (Hailey), Nicole Patton, Jennifer Fox (Dustin), Blake Young (Carissa), Brad Young (Alyssa), Jesse Walden, Jacob Walden (Ansley Crumbliss); great-grandchildren, Rory Gonzalez, Baelynn Patton, Darcy Fox, Liam Crawford, Caden Young, Skylar Young, Addison Young; brother, Jerald Walden (Gail); as well as several nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Service for Mr. Walden will be held Monday, March 24, 2025, 12:00 P.M., at Canaan Baptist Church, 5581 Salem Road, in Covington, with Dr. Billy Ingram and Dr. Scott Caudill officiating and interment following in Lawnwood Memorial Park, in Covington. Friends are invited to visit with the family at Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, Sunday, March 23, from 2:00 - 4:00 P.M., and again on Monday, one hour prior to his service at the church.
