Toni J. Swails Barrs

Toni J. Swails Barrs, a beacon of warmth and positivity, passed away at the age of 84 on January 1, 2026, in her beloved hometown of Branford, FL. Born in Branford, Toni's life was a tapestry of adventures, woven through the many places she called home due to her husband's military career. Yet, it was Branford that always held her heart, and she returned there in 1979 to plant her roots once more.

Toni was a woman of many talents, not least of which was her ability to transform a blank canvas or piece of jewelry into a masterpiece with her paintbrush. Her artistic flair was matched only by her culinary skills; her baking was legendary, and she delighted in serving others with her delicious creations. A proud member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Toni's nurturing spirit was felt by all who knew her. She had an uncanny ability to find the silver lining in any cloud, often reminding those around her to look on the bright side.

Her faith was an integral part of her life, and she attended Union Baptist Church. Toni's legacy of love and laughter lives on through her daughter, Angela M. Bridges (Ronald), her sons, Robert Wesley Barrs, II, and Tony A. Barrs (Jill), her grandchildren: David W. Barrs (Ale), Jessie Brooks, Cody Brooks (Brittany), Jaiden Barrs, Cason Barrs, Dillon Moore, Makayla Vazquez (Alex), Ashleigh King (Cody), Justin Bridges (Mandy), and her 12 great-grandchildren, each of whom carries a piece of her heart.

Toni was preceded in death by her husband, Robert W. Barrs, and her siblings, Pat, Adell, Irue, Sylvia, Weeggie, Nova Dean, Sarah, and Edzell.

A service to celebrate Toni's life will be held on Monday, January 5, 2026, at 3pm at Daniels Funeral Home in Branford, FL, with a visitation from 2-3pm. Interment will follow at Santa Fe Cemetery. Friends and family are invited to sign the guestbook and share their favorite memories of Toni, perhaps recalling her infectious laughter or her knack for turning life's lemons into the sweetest lemonade.
