Michael Barrs Obituary
Born February 14, 1980, in Sumter, he was the son of Elwood Michael Barrs and Joye Helms Barrs. He was a graduate of Sumter Christian School. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserves and was a veteran of Operation Enduring Freedom. Mr. Barrs was employed by Performance Food Group (PFG).
Survivors in addition to his wife and parents all of Sumter, include a sister-in-law, Amberly Way of Sumter; and a brother, Chance Player (Katie) of Aiken. He also leaves behind a beloved fur baby, Abby.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home Chapel officiated by the Rev. Donna Green. Burial will be in the Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Chad Bryant, Garret Hodge, Tony Moss, Keith Poston, Brad Scott, and Jason Shadoan.
The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at
Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and other times at the home.
