Tonia Sue Martin

Tonia "Toni" (Norris) Martin, a beloved mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully at her home in Sneads Ferry on November 8, 2025, just shy of her 46th birthday. She was born on November 13, 1979, in Jacksonville, North Carolina, to Nancy (Fisher) Tompson and the late Marion Norris. Toni lived a life full of love, adventure and laughter.

Toni was a vibrant soul who never met a stranger. Her outgoing nature, sense of humor and infectious smile could light up any room. She had a unique ability to make everyone feel like family, and her warmth and kindness were felt by all who knew her.

Her love for children was evident in her work at Noah's Ark Christian Preschool and Daycare, where she took pride in nurturing young minds and hearts. Toni pursued her passion for early childhood education at Coastal Carolina Community College, driven by her belief in the power of learning and the potential of every child.

Toni found immense joy in the simple pleasures of life, especially her love for the beach and music. Whether it was a day spent by the ocean or a night filled with melodies, these moments brought her peace and happiness.

Toni leaves behind a legacy of love through her surviving family: her beloved son, Allen Martin of Sneads Ferry; her loving mother, Nancy (Fisher) Thompson of Sneads Ferry, as well as her step-father, Ricky Thompson; her cherished nieces, Tina Norris and Lizzy Norris; her nephew, Tyler Norris; and multitude of friends who will forever miss her.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her brother, Ty Norris.

A woman of Christian faith, Toni believed in living life to the fullest and showing grace and compassion towards everyone, always ready to lend a helping hand or a listening ear.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on November 23, 2025 at 2:00 pm at Sneads Ferry Pentecostal Holiness Church: 341 Fulcher Landing Rd, Sneads Ferry, NC 28460. In the meantime, the family invites you to take a moment to enjoy the beach, listen to your favorite song, and hug your loved ones a little tighter-just as Toni would have wanted.
