Tony Everette Boyd

Tony Everette Boyd, 65, of Marion, passed away Sunday, March 17, 2024.

 

He was born November 5, 1958 to the late Joe Boyd and Devon Fender Boyd. Tony was a lifelong operator of heavy equipment. He was very talented with his work and could operate anything big or small. He made some of his fondest memories running Mad Mama’s Mudsling. He found great peace in being outdoors. Whether it was hiking with his best friend, Daniel, or riding bikes with his companion, Linda, he could be found outdoors nearly every day. He also enjoyed daily walks. Tony had breakfast at Tom Johnson’s every morning, which he thoroughly enjoyed. He was loved by everyone there. He was a hard worker who worked every day of his life. He will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. 

 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Courtney Boyd.

 

He is survived by four children, Autumn Alkire (Paul), Aaron Boyd (Jeniffer), Kirkland Boyd, and Cody Boyd; two grandchildren, Trenton Boyd and Preston Haynes; four siblings, Danny Boyd, Melody Burnette, Regan Boyd, and Trisha Boyd; his longtime friend, Daniel Rowe; his companion, Linda Effler; and several nieces and nephews.

 

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, March 21, 2024 at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Beam Funeral Service. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:00 p.m.
