Tony Dale Lamb, age 66 of Talbott, TN, passed away on Tuesday, March 25, 2025 after a courageous battle with Leukemia. Tony was a loving husband, father and papaw. Tony graduated from Jefferson Co. High School in 1977 and from Austin Peay State University in Clarksville, TN in 1981 after playing 4 years of collegiate baseball. He worked for American Enka/BASF for 14 years and retired from Pioneer Petroleum in Morristown after 25 years of service with them. He was an active member of New Beginning Missionary Baptist Church in Talbott where he was a good and faithful servant.
Tony is preceded in death by his mother and father, Paul and Marie Lamb, father and mother in-law, Lloyd and Helene Hansel, grandparents, Rev. Minnis and Gussie Lamb and Fred and Helene Mathis.
Tony is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Mary Jayne Hansel Lamb, children, Jared (Acoya) Lamb of Talbott and Marc (Anna) Lamb of Morristown, his 4 beautiful grandchildren whom he loved dearly, Braxton, Kiya, Chapman and Palmer Lamb, brother and sister-in-law, David and Terri Lamb, sister-in-law, Glenda Trent and brother-in-law, Jimmy Hansel and several aunts, nephews, nieces, and cousins.
Family will receive friends on Thursday, March 27, 2025 between the hours of 5:00pm and 7:00pm at First Baptist Church, White Pine with Celebration of Life Service to follow at 7:00pm, with Pastor Bill Manning and Rev. Brian Osborne officiating. Honorary Pallbearers will be Marty Lamb, Tim Smyth, Mike Smyth, Danny Lamb and James Lamb. The family has requested that In Lieu of Flowers, Memorial Donations be made to the Austin Peay State University Baseball Program, P.O. Box 4514, 601 College St, Clarksville, TN 37044. The family would like to express a special Thank You to all the doctors, nurses and staff at UT Medical Center in Knoxville on 5West Cancer Floor and the Thompson Oncology Group in Morristown, Dr. Clark Cutrer and Staff in Knoxville, TN and Dr. Mailien Rogers in Morristown and Amedysis Hospice
