Tony Larouco Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Carrier Family Funeral Home & Crematory - Windham on Oct. 17, 2025.

Publish in a newspaper

Antonio "Tony" Larouco, 57, longtime resident of Windham, NH, passed away on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston surrounded by his family.

Tony was born on July 16, 1968, in Donões, Portugal to Teresa (de Cruz) and the late Jose G. Larouco. He was raised in Milford, MA. Tony later graduated from UMass Lowell, receiving his Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering. He worked as a field sales engineer for PCB Piezotronics for many years.

In addition to his mother, Tony is survived by his loving wife, Tracey (Lavoie) Larouco; their cherished children Reese and Owen Larouco; his siblings Joe Larouco, John Larouco, Maria Larouco, Armando Larouco, and Lizette Tosches; his mother-in-law Mildred Lavoie; his brother-in-law Jason Lavoie and his wife Shannon; and many nieces and nephews.

In his free time, Tony enjoyed watching professional sports, fishing, kayaking and playing cards with friends and family. Most of all he loved watching and coaching his children's sporting events. He very rarely missed a soccer, hockey or baseball game. He coached Windham recreational soccer, basketball, baseball and specifically the Windham Wildcats. If you were on a team that Tony coached or played against, he knew who you were and remembered that great play you made whether it was 2 years ago or 10. He also played in a men's basketball league in Salem where he met an amazing group of like-minded men.

As his children entered their twenties, he received great pleasure in hanging with Owen and his friends at a campfire or on the screen porch watching sports or sitting at the kitchen island with Reese and her girls listening to the latest happenings with a cocktail. He could also be found chatting up the ladies at Tracey's book club before the book discussion started.

Tony knew a lot about a lot but was also a super humble and handy guy. You would very rarely see a repair vehicle in his driveway because he was almost always able to fix it himself. He also came in very handy when something heavy needed to be moved or reached up high. He took great pride in his hand-cut wood pile (from grapple) that surrounded his property like a fortress which was put to good use all winter. Enjoying the challenge of buying as little oil as possible.

Tony was able to work from home for the majority of his career, which allowed him to always be present for his family and friends. Whether that meant a 5-minute chat before school or checking in before practice. He never regretted declining career advancement opportunities to remain a permanent and stable presence at home.

Please join us to celebrate Tony's life on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, from 4:00–7:00 PM at the Carrier Family Funeral Home, 38 Range Road, Windham, NH.
