Tony Michael Love, 79, of North Augusta, SC, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 12, 2025.
Born in Lancaster, SC, to the late Perkins L and Honore Wilsie B Love, Tony grew up in Aiken, SC, graduating from Aiken High School in 1964. He briefly attended the University of South Carolina Aiken campus before enlisting in the U.S. Marine Corps in 1966, where he proudly served his country and remained a devoted reservist retiring as Warrant Officer- 4 after 25 years service. During his time as a reservist, he was activated to serve in Operation Desert Storm in 1991. In addition to the Marine Corps, Tony built a manufacturing career spending nearly 20 years working at the Clearwater Finishing Plant, and later dedicated many years as
a firefighter at the Savannah River Site. Tony was a man of deep Christian faith and great passion. He traveled extensively with Evangelist Quinton Mills for 12 years, spreading the word of God through numerous revivals. He loved sports, faithfully cheering on the Atlanta Braves and his beloved South Carolina Gamecocks. His favorite pastime was the peace and quiet of a day spent fishing.
Tony is survived by his beloved wife of 39 years, Arlene B. Love.
He also leaves behind a loving family, including a brother, Danny L Love, sister Patty L Bentley (Bill) his daughter, Melanie Love Walling (James), and his son, Todd M. Love (Kathy); and his stepdaughter, LaDonna R. Heise. He was the proud grandfather to Mary Jones (William Anderson), Megan J. James (Steven), James McGee (Nicole Williams), and Todd M. Love, II. His step- grandchildren include Jonathan Sanders, Brittany Carter (Devon), Bronson Heise (Brittany), and Brock Heise. He is also survived by many great-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.
Tony was preceded in death by his sister-in-law, Karen S. Love; his stepson, Timothy Sanders (Karen B Sanders) and his step-grandson, Tyler Sanders.
A graveside service honoring his life and service will be held on Saturday October 18, 2025 at 11am at the Historic Graniteville Cemetery with Rev. Quinton Mills and Rev. Russell Larkin officiating.
Honorary pallbearers will be: Bronson Heise, Barrett Heise, Brock Heise and Chris Alverson.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to a charity of your choice in memory of Mr. Tony Love.
