Tony Smith, 66, of Camden, Tennessee ran into Jesus's arms restored and healed on April 30, 2025. Anthony "Tony" Dean Smith was born February 12, 1959, to David and Linda Smith of Camden, Tennessee. He is a graduate of Camden Central High School class of 1977. He was an avid outdoorsman, firearm enthusiast and greatly enjoyed cooking for his friends especially big BBQs with a football game on. He was a retired boilermaker out of the 455 local, working most of his career at TVA New Johnsonville. He was a loyal friend and loving son, brother and uncle. He loved Jesus, his family and his country. His favorite time was spent with his best four-legged friend, Scooter. They spent many hours swimming in the pond, playing ball, eating treats and taking long rides on the golf cart.
He was preceded in death by his father, David Smith, spouses Sherry Schlegel Smith and Debra Lang Smith, paternal grandparents, Rye and Vesta Smith, and maternal grandparents, Delton "Britt" and Nettie Mays, all of Camden TN.
He is survived by his mother, Linda Smith, brother and sister in law, Chris and Tammy Smith, and niece, Bobbie Smith, and his best friend Scooter.
Tony requested a simple celebration of life to be held at Missionary Grove Baptist Church May 4, 2025, at 1 pm following Sunday service. The family welcomes all friends and loved ones who wish to attend. He specifically requested in lieu of flowers, donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the Missionary Grove Baptist Church building fund.
