TONY DEWAYNE VANOVER, AGE 67
And a resident of Mount Hermon passed away peacefully on Thursday October 24, 2024 surrounded by his loved ones. He was a member of Bogue Chitto Baptist Church. He was a native and former longtime resident of Marrero. At a young age, Tony worked in the oil fields alongside family members, later on he worked on push boats for Tidewater for many years, until he met the love of his life. Soon after, they opened their own business together in Mt. Hermon, Brenda's Country Kitchen. Tony enjoyed anything outdoors and being around family and friends. He will be missed by all that knew him.

Wife of 35 years: Brenda Riley Vanover
2 Sons and a Daughter in law: Joey and Rayne Tetreau,
Chris Tetreau all of Mt. Hermon
Daughter and Son in law: Betty-Catherine and Tyler Magee of Mt Hermon
Grandchildren and Spouses: Matthew and Grace Tetreau,
Faith Tetreau,
Jaycee Tetreau,
Kenzie Tetreau,
Dyeza Phelps,
Blake Phelps,
Ian Phelps,
Cason Magee,
Coda Magee
Sister: Elizabeth Ducote
Brother in law and Sister in law: Jerry and Cathy Dykes
Special Friends: Joseph Smith, Anita Dryman, Allen and Angela Gulotta
Also numerous nieces, nephews and cousins
He was preceded in death by his parents Merle and Barbara Guillory, a brother Silas Guillory, father in law Ralph Riley, daughter in law Krystal G. Tetreau and other family members.
Visitation will be at Bogue Chitto Baptist Church (41088 Hwy. 438, Mt. Hermon) Monday October 28th from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm. A funeral service will be held in the church at 12:00 pm Monday with Rev. Calvin Crowe officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
