Tony Wallace Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Lynlee Mae Chapel & Event Center on Dec. 2, 2025.
David Anthony "Tony" Wallace passed from this life on November 22, 2025, at the age of 67. Born on September 30, 1958, Tony lived a life anchored in kindness, generosity, and a profound love for the outdoors.
An avid outdoorsman, Tony found peace and purpose in the woods. Deer season was a cherished time, and years of quiet mornings and patient treks shaped both his skills and his spirit. He hunted nearly everything he could in Oklahoma and several other states. One of his favorite trips took him to hunt antelope in Wyoming, where he was captivated by the beauty of the mountain wilderness. When the season shifted, Tony could often be found fishing, especially for trout, another pastime that brought him joy.
Away from the field, Tony loved settling in with old westerns, especially those featuring John Wayne. He was a storyteller at heart, and those who knew him will remember his humor, his easy conversation, and his ability to make anyone feel welcome. Tony truly never met a stranger.
Tony graduated from Putnam City High School with the Class of 1976 and went on to build a long career in the freight industry. He worked for several companies in air freight, including Continental Airlines in Oklahoma City, Houston, and Denver. He also spent time driving trucks across the country, enjoying the open road and the people he met along the way.
His passion for hunting naturally led him into the world of firearms. Tony became skilled in gunsmithing, caring for his own collection, and helping others with theirs. His extensive knowledge about firearms, their history, and their craftsmanship was something he eagerly shared with fellow enthusiasts.
Tony's big heart was evident in the way he treated others. Children and animals in particular were beneficiaries of his generous nature, but his generosity extended to anyone in need. He carried an everyday kindness that touched countless lives in many ways.
Tony cherished his routines, especially his mornings at Mama Lou's, where he often met with friends for breakfast, followed by walks at Sooner Fashion Mall. He was a regular at American Legion Post 73 in Del City on Tuesday nights. Time spent with friends and family was the highlight of his day. The friendships he built were deeply meaningful to him, and he always made time for the people he cared about.
Tony is survived by his son, Daniel Anthony Wallace, and daughter-in-law, Siobhan; his mother, Shirley Anne Boyle, and husband, Richard; grandchildren Trystin, Nolan, Finn, Ian, Nep, Mikey, and Fletcher; brothers Gregory and Brad Wallace, and spouse Serena; and step-sisters Tracy Winkeler, and husband Tim, Stefani Loomis, and husband Perry, Angi Moreno, and husband Martin. He is preceded in death by his father, David.
Tony leaves behind a legacy of warmth, generosity, and a life lived with both enthusiasm and heart. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Tony's name to The American Legion at legion.org/donate, or just thank a veteran for their service.
