Tonya Yvette Street-Lea

Ms. Tonya Yvette Street-Lea, age fifty-one, departed this life and entered into eternal rest Wednesday, September 17, 2025 at Hock Family Pavilion in Durham, North Carolina and attended Holy Temple Church of God in Christ in Granville County, North Carolina. She was born in Durham County July 8, 1974 and attended Holy Temple Church of God in Christ in Granville County.

She leaves to cherish precious memories, her husband, David Pugh, Jr. of Roxboro, North Carolina; children: Jalen Street and Jewel Holloway of Roxboro; grandchildren: Zimir Paylor and Jalayah Street of Roxboro and Amari Street and Avery Street of Burlington, North Carolina; her parents: Martha Palmer and Daniel Palmer of Roxboro; siblings: Daniell Palmer and Landolph Palmer (Tangeneka) of South Boston, Virginia and Jonelle Palmer of Roxboro; and a host of other loving relatives and friends.

The funeral service will be held Wednesday, September 24, 2025 at 12:00pm noon at Holy Temple Church of God in Christ, 6585 Old Roxboro Road, Oxford, North Carolina with Elder James Williams, Pastor, providing the eulogy. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be at Cunningham & Associates Tuesday from 1:00pm to 6:00pm, with the family present during the last hour from 5:00pm to 6:00pm.

At other times, the family will receive visitors at the home of her mother, 1319 St. Paul Church Road, Roxboro, North Carolina 27574.

Her body will lie in state at the church Wednesday from 11:00am to 12:00pm, one hour prior to the service.
