Tonya Rachele Wilson, 52, entered into rest on Wednesday, April 17, 2024.
Tonya was born on April 6, 1972, in West Point, Mississippi to the late Larry and Dianne Britt. In her professional career, she was known for her business skills, organization, and creativity. She worked for a variety of interesting places including Electrolux, where she met Mary Ellen Hill, whom she considered a second mother, along with Initial Reaction and The City of Warner Robins. Family meant everything to Tonya. She loved making memories and carrying on family traditions with her loved ones which was especially true for her favorite holiday, Christmas, which was a beloved time of year for her. She enjoyed traveling to scenic mountainous locations, but particularly Gatlinburg, Tennessee. In her free time, she enjoyed shopping, karaoke, watching Hallmark movies, and eating Mexican food. Her sweet presence will be deeply missed by those she loved.
Her parents, Thomas Larry Britt and Shirley Dianne Hurst Britt, preceded her in death.
Her memory will forever be treasured by her husband, Mark Alan Wilson; children, Bryant Alan Wilson (Saige), and Hunter Mark Wilson (Kailin Skinner); grandchildren, Braylee Ann Wilson, Lucas Alexander Holt, Kolton Mark Wilson and Grayson Gillis; brother, Brady Britt and his wife, Dana; brother-in-law, Scott Wilson and his wife, Gale; nieces and nephews, Madison Britt, Emory Britt, Jacob Wilson (Margaret) , Jed Wilson (Peyton Varner); mother-in-law, Ruby Lashley Wilson; best friends, Amy Massey, and Denise “Sissy” Gillis.
Visitation will be Tuesday, April 23, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 24, 2024, in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. Afterward, Tonya will be laid to rest in Magnolia Park Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be given in memory of Tonya Wilson to Toys for Tots, mailable to Marine Toys for Tots Foundation, Gift Processing Administrator, 18251 Quantico Gateway Drive, Triangle, VA 22172 or online via the link below.
