Torben Jensen, age 70, of Lincoln Park, Michigan, passed away on January 2, 2026, at his home. He was born on August 8, 1955, in Copenhagen, Denmark, to Gunnar Carl Jensen and Anne-Lise Larsen.
Torben was a proud Danish-American who carried a strong work ethic and quiet resilience throughout his life. He graduated from high school and completed some college before building a long career in the manufacturing industry, working as both a skilled welder and a truck driver. His dedication, reliability, and steady nature made him someone others could always count on.
Torben was married to the love of his life, Paula Renee (McGhee) Jensen, with whom he shared nearly 50 years of marriage. Their life together was rooted in devotion, loyalty, and countless shared memories. He was a loving father to Torben Eric Jensen, and a proud grandfather to Aldrick and Clayton, who brought him much joy and pride.
He is also survived by his beloved mother, Anne-Lise Larsen, who at 93 years of age remains a cherished part of his family, and by his brothers, Daniel and Kevin. He was preceded in death by his father, Gunnar Carl Jensen.
Torben held a lifelong friendship with Robert Little, his best friend for decades, whose companionship meant a great deal to him.
As a young man, Torben was very active in the Boy Scouts, where he developed a love for the outdoors and a sense of independence that stayed with him throughout his life. He especially loved camping in his younger years and remained fond of hunting for many years. Though he and his friends never seemed to come home with a deer—much to everyone’s amusement—those trips were filled with laughter and stories, including the time Paula joined them.
A true homebody at heart, Torben was happiest in the comfort of home, enjoying a quiet, steady life surrounded by those he loved most. He will be remembered for his calm presence, his loyalty, and the simple, genuine way he cared for the people in his life.
