Torri Layne Vorwork, 22, of Odessa, Missouri passed away unexpectedly Friday, December 27, 2024, at Centerpoint Medical Center in Independence, Missouri surrounded by her loving family.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, January 2, 2025, at Ralph O. Jones Funeral Home, 306 South Second Street Odessa, Missouri 64067. A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, January 3, 2025, at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Odessa Cemetery in Odessa, Missouri. Torri was born on September 16, 2002, in Marshall, Missouri to Jenny (Vorwork) Corum and Jesse Crose. In 2021, she graduated from Blue Springs High School. Torri was a waitress and bartender at Twin Peaks. Torri had a creative spirit where she loved to express in her writing. Torri was full of creativity and joy, touching the lives of those around her with her vibrant spirit and passion for self- expression. A devoted fan of Taylor Swift, she proudly embraced her identity as a “Swiftie,” attending numerous concerts. Along with spending time with family, friends, and boyfriend, Torri enjoyed social media, reading, photo scraping, and making friendship bracelets.
Torri is survived by her loving mother, Jenny (Jason) Corum of Odessa, MO and father, Jesse (Misty) Crose of Warrensburg, MO; three sisters, Remi Corum, Mia Corum, and Katie Crose; three brothers, Derek Crose, Chase Crose, and Devin Corum; maternal grandparents, Pete (Vicky) Vorwork of Odessa, MO; paternal grandparents, Gilbert (Terry) Crose of Dewitt, MO; her boyfriend; Brittain Willeford of Lee’s Summit, MO; and many uncles, aunts, relatives, and friends.
Torri was preceded in death by a grandmother; Helen Vorwork; and two great grandfathers, Charles Vorwork and Earl Bellamy.
