Torunn Dottery, 75, formerly of Allentown, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loved ones, on Saturday, January 24, 2026, in Cedarbrook Nursing Home, Allentown. She was the wife of the late Leslie L. Dottery, who passed away in 2010. Born in Bergen, Norway on August 30, 1950, she was the daughter of the late Ragnar K. and Mary (Larsen) Kvamme. They immigrated to the United States when she was two years old.
Torunn worked for ACME Markets for many years before retiring. She was a member of Faith Church, Allentown. Torunn loved Jesus, and her family, especially her grandchildren. She was involved in different ministries and mission trips, including to Jamaica and Malaysia. She spent her days at Cedarbrook trying to comfort the other residents.
She will be lovingly remembered by her daughters, Stephanie A. and husband Jeffrey Hess of Whitehall, Laurie A. and husband Timothy Hauck of Jim Thorpe; grandchildren, Ashley and husband David Vazquez, Alyssa, Amanda, Jacob, Baylie; great-grandchildren; Jaxon & Freya; sisters, Britt and husband Dennis Harris, Linda and husband Phil Cirocco.
A memorial service will be held at 11am on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at Faith Church, 6528 Hamilton Blvd, Allentown. Family and friends may pay their respects from 10 to 11am at church. Interment will be private at Arlington National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, can be made to Torunn's favorite charities, No Baby Blisters and Heifer International, or to Faith Church, all c/o the funeral home. Arrangements have been entrusted to Harding Funeral Home, Slatington.
