Tove Tragos

Mrs. Tove Tragos, nee Larsen, 85, a longtime resident of Wilmette, passed away on Wednesday, December 17, 2025. Tove was born on March 11, 1940, in Roskilde, Denmark. She moved to Chicago in her early 20s and remained a resident of Chicagoland ever since her arrival from Copenhagen. Tove is survived by her daughter, Camille Rybar, Camille's husband CAPT Aaron Rybar (ret.), grandchildren Cameron Rybar (18), James Rybar (15) and Carys Rybar (10), and loved relatives and friends. Tove was preceded in death by her beloved husband Nicholas, her parents Agnes and Hilmar Larsen, her sister Bente Eskerod, sister-in-law Betty Murphy and nephew Paul Murphy. Tove was a very kind, loving person, and she will be forever remembered as a devoted wife, mother and grandmother (known as Mor Mor). Tove was a longtime hair stylist, and she very much enjoyed becoming lifelong friends with her clientele. Visitation 9:00 to 10:30 AM on Friday, January 9, 2026, Funeral Service immediately thereafter at 10:30 AM, at Smith-Corcoran Funeral Home, 1104 Waukegan Road, Glenview, IL.
