In Loving Memory of Toya Desiree Will
February 8, 1971 – August 14, 2025
Toya Desiree Will, age 54, of Peekskill, New York, passed away on August 14, 2025, at Hudson Valley Hospital. She was born on February 8, 1971, in Lehigh Valley, Pennsylvania.
She is survived by her husband, James Christopher Will (Jim), her son James (Jas), her brother Rodney Day, sister Dana Day, brother Jermaine Day, mother Sherry Day, and father Daniel Montgomery.
Toya was known for her honesty, empathy, and humor. Her laughter was contagious-starting with a pigeon mishap on her first date with Jim-and continued through a lifetime of joy shared with family and friends. She loved playing cards, especially Spades, watching tennis, and enjoying episodes of Two and a Half Men. Even in winter, she insisted on wearing flip-flops.
She worked in admissions at Westchester Educational Opportunity Center, caring deeply for each applicant. Her earlier career in the music industry earned her gold and platinum awards for The Roots and Joss Stone. Toya was also a proud middle school spelling bee champion in Allentown.
Though quiet in her faith, Toya trusted in Jesus Christ and supported her son in his walk with the Lord. Her kindness and care reflected her love for God and people.
Toya will be remembered for her caring heart, honest spirit, and the joy she brought to every gathering. Her family is thankful for the love and support shown during this time of loss.
"The LORD is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." Psalm 34:18
