Tracie Ann Steele

Tracie Ann Steele, age 47 of Winchester, passed away on Tuesday, July 26, 2022, at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Rochester, Pennsylvania on April 22, 1975. Tracie grew up attending St. Blaise Catholic Church in Midland, Pennsylvania. She served her country in the United States Navy before being employed as a Customer Service Manager at Wal-Mart for twenty-three years and retiring in 2021. Tracie enjoyed fishing on Tims Ford Lake with her husband, going to the Mexican restaurant and having drinks with friends, and eating ice cream. But most of all she cherished the time spent with her beloved family, whether it be visiting with her family in Pennsylvania or facetiming with her daughter. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, William Sosack, Eileen Luketic, and Joe and Virginia Checca; and great-niece, Julianna Mae Gailey. Tracie is survived by her loving husband, Joey Steele Jr of Cowan; daughter, Cheyenne Christian; mother, Debra Ann (Sosack) Checca and Ernie; father, Joseph Donald Checca; siblings, Dawn Eicher of Enon Valley, and Anthony Checca of Industry, Pennsylvania; mother-in-law, Gloria Steele; father-in-law, Joey Steele Sr; and nieces and nephews, Erika Gailey, Andrew Adams, Ryleigh Fry, and Sadie Checca. Visitation will be from 3-7 pm on Friday, July 29, 2022, at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral Services will follow at 7:00 pm in the Moore-Cortner Chapel with Rev. Ross Peterson officiating.
