Tracy A. Gildea

Tracy A. Gildea, age 54, of Derby entered into rest on Thursday, April 21, 2022 at home. She was the devoted wife of 32 years to Jim Gildea.
Tracy was born in Stamford on February 15, 1968 daughter of Ruthann (Ford) Gallagher and the late Terrance Gallagher. She was a certified nurse's aide until becoming a mother. Tracy was on the Derby Board of Education from 1996 - 2000. She also was an avid animal lover. Tracy was well known for her amazing baby sitting skills and through the years was responsible for providing child care to the children of so many of her family and friends. Most of all, she was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who cherished spending time with her family.
Tracy was the beloved mother of Christina Gildea and her fiance Andrew Skoronski, Samantha Dunn and her husband Maxwell, Melissa Gildea and her fiance Joseph Carbone, Jessica Gildea and her companion Duane Jones, Emily Gildea and her companion Kevin Matias, Matthew Gildea and Joshua Gildea, loving grandmother of Cade Carbone and Henry Dunn and sister of Terrance Gallagher, Susan Gallagher, Tammy Messenger and Laura Weitzler and her husband William. She was also survived by several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Friends may call on Tuesday April 26, 2022 from 4 to 7 PM at the Edward F. Adzima Funeral Home, 253 Elizabeth St., Derby. On Wednesday, friends are invited to go directly to Holy Rosary Church, 10 Father Salemi Dr., Ansonia, CT 06401 for her Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM. Her burial will follow at Mt. St. Peter Cemetery.
