Tracy Hatcher, age 55, of Marshalltown, Iowa, passed away Sunday, July 24, 2022 at The University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.
Per the wishes of Tracy and his family, cremation rites have been accorded. Memorial services will take place on Sunday, July 31 at 4:30 P.M. at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home with Reverend Tom Bower officiating. Friends and family are also invited to attend a visitation prior to the service, beginning at 3:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the family or directly to the Marshalltown Animal Rescue League. Tracy was born January 28, 1967 in Marshalltown, Iowa, a son of Terry and Pat (Morrow) Hatcher. After graduating from Marshalltown High School, he went on to attend Marshalltown Community College. Hardworking and dedicated, Tracy worked at Lennox Industries for 35 years. He enjoyed the simple life and his true love was stock car racing. He also enjoyed fishing, watching wrestling and cheering for the Iowa Hawkeyes and Minnesota Vikings. Tracy was loving, caring and very family-oriented.
Left to cherish his memory is his mother, Pat Hill; special aunt, Becky Hatcher; step mother, Bev Hatcher; two step-brothers: Jason (Trish) Hill and Patrick Hill; two nephews: Bradyn and Tristan; several other aunts, uncles and cousins and friends.

Sad to hear this news. Tracy and I shared a bond back in the old days, from Palmer Elementary until high school. I remember going to see his grandma, whom he called Gurd. He adored her.
From Monty Pithon to window pane, we shared some fun times.
