In Loving Memory Celebrating a Life Well-Lived
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Tracy Walts Cox, who departed this life on Saturday, October 4, 2025, at the age of 62 in Lexington, KY. She was born on September 11, 1963, to Bart K. Walts and Ida Rose Cravens Walts in Louisville, KY and leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and cherished memories.
Tracy Walts Cox was the loving mother of Christian Cox, Dylan Nelson, and William Broadus; and grandmother to Mikayla Cayson and Lilly Cox. Also, a loving sister to Gayle (Bruce) Adams, Dawn (Dave) Kiper, Carmen Parish, Liz (David) Ruth, and Sharon (Steve) Frick. Tracy Walts Cox was also the loving niece, cousin, aunt and friend to many.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Bart K. Walts and Ida Rose Cravens Walts; her oldest son, Tyler Cox and his father Ricky Cox.
She dedicated her life to those affected with addiction through counseling, touching the lives of many through her generosity, sense of humor, and unwavering support. Tracy Walts Cox was known for her love for her boys and grandchildren. She loved the beach and sunshine. She loved walking Levi. She had a host of friends who loved her very much and whom she helped greatly. Tracy had a beautiful soul.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of her Life on Saturday, November 1, 2025, from 1:30-3:30 pm, to be held at The Alano, 370 E Second St. Lexington, KY.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Alano in Tracy Walts Cox's honor. Tracy Walts Cox will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. May she rest in eternal peace.
Care Cremation and Funeral Service is honored to be entrusted with final care.
