In Loving Memory of Tracy Kahaunani Mauna Kea Segovia
April 28, 2006 – January 26, 2025
With profound sorrow and boundless love, we honor and remember Tracy Kahaunaaani Maunna Kea Segovia, an extraordinary young man whose light shone as brilliantly as the sun. Tracy was a son, brother, grandson, nephew, and friend, whose kindness, strength, and passion left an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Born on April 28, 2006 in Oxnard, California, Tracy was a force of nature, much like the great volcano mountain he was named after. His heart was as vast and unyielding as Mauna Kea itself, filled with love, kindness and courage. Tracy's smile could brighten the darkest of days, and his presence brought warmth and joy to everyone around him.
Tracy found immense happiness in the love of his life, Carlie, with whom he shared a bond of laughter, dreams, and unwavering companionship. He aspired to become a welder and was deeply passionate about training to be an MMA fighter and trained in Jiu Jitsu at Memento Mori Grappling Club. A dedicated athlete, Tracy built an incredible legacy on the wrestling mats of Buena Ventura High School, where he graduated with the Class of 2024. As a big brother to his wrestling teammates, he was a mentor, an encourager, and a relentless champion of their success. His spiirit of perseverance and camaraderie inspired those around him to push beyond their limits.
At home, Tracy was the protective and loving big brother to Frankie, whom he cherished beyond measure. He stood as the family's gentle giant, always watching over his little brother and his beloved mother, Kamariis, with whom he shared the same radiant smile. Their bond was deep and unshakable, a love that transcends time and space.
Tracy was a young man of many talents. He found joy in playing bass guitar, an influential gift from his father, Jamison often jamming with his father and friends in the garage, filling the air with music and laughter. He loved the ocean, the rhythm of the waves, and the feeling of the sun on his face as he surfed and sailed. Welding became his passion, a craft that allowed him to shape and build, much like the way he shaped and built the hearts of those who loved him.
Tracy's kindness, strength, and love will forever be etched in our hearts. He was a protector, a mentor, a best friend, incredible son and above all, a soul too beautiful for this world. Though his time with us was far too short, his legacy of love, kindness, and unwavering support for others will live on eternally.
We will forever honor, celebrate, and cherish Tracy's memory, finding comfort in the love he gave and the joy he brought into our lives.
Rest peacefully, dear Tracy. Your heart was as vast as the mountain, your love as deep as the ocean, and your spirit as boundless as the sky. You will always be missed but never forgotten.
Forever in Our Hearts
Tracy is survived by his loving parents Kamaris Segovia & Jamison Segovia, little brother Frankie Segovia, girlfriend Carly Classen, grandparents Anthony Gioseffi (April) & Valerie Laiberte, Steve Segovia & predeceased by Georgette Segovia and many Aunties, Uncles and cousins across the country from New Hawaii, Las Vegas & Michigan.

When Tracy and Frankie were staying with our Grandma Rachael while she was sick, my sister Marinna and I had the luxury of being the cool cousins who got to pick them up from school and bring them back to the house with us. We worked on homework, baked and decorated cookies, went swimming and got to spend a lot of quality time together that we were usually only able to do once a year since we live in NY.

This past November was their first trip here and we couldn´t have been more excited. Although we didn´t have much time to explore since they were here for Marinna´s wedding, my mom (his great Aunt) Andrea still made sure to take them all around the city. Tracy´s one request was to visit a vintage thrift shop, RogueArms. The workers were thrilled to have someone come visit all the way from California and they actually posted his picture on their story. Getting to see him on a verified page like a celebrity was such a cool experience.

I have no words to describe how big of a loss this is for our family. Tracy is loved beyond measure and our hearts are so broken.

I just wanted to get on here and say how sorry I am for everyone´s loss I only had the pleasure of meeting tracy maybe once or twice. My daughter got to know him through Carly but I did get to see him through the love that he showed Carly and the love that Carly had for him and yes, they were young, but they they shined so bright together that little girl I have known her most of her life and I never seen someone light up so beautifully the way they did together I do believe it was love at first sight and I´m sorry for his family that I never got the chance to know, but I do want you to know that our family is thinking of you and you are in our thoughts and prayers and tracy will never be forgotten the reeds we love you, Carly

My first memory of Tracy was the day he was born. I was only 3 1/2 years old and I couldn´t believe I was gonna be an auntie to such a beautiful and perfect boy. I remember hoping up on the bed with Kammy, his mom, and they put a huge pillow to help me hold him and he was so perfect. I miss you my sweet baby nephew.

We would go to the gym by the harbor and then walk to blenders looking at the fish and crabs in the water. He also let me dye his hair fun Designs
