Tracy Jan Sponsel, 62, of Meade, KS passed away on Wednesday July 3, 2024 at Ascension Via Christi Hospital in Wichita, KS.
She was born on September 13, 1961 to Gerald Clark and Mary Jo (Day) Tilford at Fort Scott, KS.
On November 21, 1980 she was united into marriage with Steven Ray Sponsel in Guymon, OK. From that union, Tracy graced Steve with three daughters.
Tracy proudly received her CNA Certification; working 40 years caring for the elderly and helping them find dignity and purpose. She enjoyed many activities including camping, fishing, attending concerts, and reading scripture. Tracy also enjoyed watching the Waltons, Little House on the Prairie, and Paranormal shows on television. She adored animals and loved being with her family.
Tracy is survived by her loving husband Steven, three Daughters, Mary Rose and husband Rick of Liberal, KS, Shawna Neely and Husband Ryan of Meade, KS, Cassandra Sponsel and Fiance Jeremiah Martinez of Meade, KS, ; Two Brothers, Kevin Clark and wife Debbie of MO, Doug Clark and spouse Brent of CA; Two Sisters, Penny Jo Nicholson and husband Robert of OK, Stacy Ann Johnston and husband Mark of KS; Eight Grandchildren and Three Great Grandsons. She is also survived by her step-father Arthur Tilford of Liberal, Kansas
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Viewing will be 1:00 pm to 7:00 pm Wednesday July 10, 2024 at Miller Mortuary, Liberal, Kansas.
Funeral Services will be 10:00 am Thursday July 11, 2024 at Trinity Faith Church in Liberal with Pastor James Strickland, officiating.
Burial will take place in the Liberal City Cemetery.
