Travis Wade Argust, 45, of Tamaqua passed away suddenly April 28.
Born in Hazleton on April 26, 1978, he was the son of Robert and Karen Argust (Cauley).
Travis was a graduate of Tamaqua High School, Class of 1996. He continued his education, receiving his associate's degree in accounting and medical assisting from McCann School of Business. He also attended Luzerne County Community College for culinary arts.
Travis had various jobs throughout his life, including car sales at Rothrock, utility person at Bemis and opening locations of Papa John's as their operations manager.
Travis enjoyed listening to music as well as playing the drums and guitar. He was a fan of Tamaqua baseball, car shows with his uncle Tom and sitting outside watching animals.
In addition to his parents, Travis is survived by his brother, Robert Jr. and wife, Michelle; niece, Haley; and nephew, Robert III.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Howard and Lorraine Argust and William and Lois Cauley.
A graveside service for Travis will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in Sky-View Memorial Park, 108 Lafayette Ave., Tamaqua.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Matthew's Church, 3153 Quakake Road, Weatherly, PA 18255.

Travis was an old dear friend of mine I grew up with. He continued to be a dear friend of mine until his passing, I will miss him dearly. He had a big amazing heart,he will be heavily missed.

Travis was a gentle giant of a man. He and my son Barrett were real friends. We considered him family. My heartfelt sympathy goes out to all those who loved him as much as we all did. We will never forget you Travis.
