Mr. Travis A. Dudley, age 91, passed away at McLeod Loris Hospital on September 14, 2025, with his loving family by his side. Mr. Dudley was born July 21, 1934, a son of the late Thomas Warren and Bertha Estelle Dawsey Dudley. In addition to his parents, Mr. Dudley is also predeceased by one brother: Basil Dudley; two sons in law: Phillip Wayne Doyle and Jimmy Ricks; and one grandson in law: Dustin Cumbie. After graduating from Aynor High School, Mr. Dudley attended Clemson University where he graduated with his bachelor's degree and became a lifelong avid Clemson fan. He was a member of Antioch Baptist Church, the Aynor Masonic Lodge, past principal of Horry Elementary School and retired from the US Agriculture Department as a Soil Scientist. Mr. Dudley is survived by his wife of 70 years: Mrs. Billie Ray Cooper Dudley; three daughters: Debbie Hucks (Paul), Felicia Ricks and Tammy Rae Doyle-Smith (Kevin); six grandchildren: Jason Hucks (Kasey), Kassi Cumbie, Tiffany Nicole Ricks Herring, Jon Thomas Ricks, Phillip Dudley Doyle (Darla) and Adam Ray Doyle (Riley-Brooke); thirteen great grandchildren: Blaise Hucks, Cayden Hucks, Kyler Cumbie, Kasen Cumbie, Kash Cumbie, Austin Herring, Hannah Herring, Jada Ricks, Marley Ricks, Lanie Matthews, Jon Thomas Ricks Jr., Sullivan Daniel Doyle and one to be born soon; and one sister: Loretta Roberts. A graveside service will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, September 17, 2025, at Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Dean Connor officiating. The family will receive friends following the service in the church fellowship hall. In lieu of flowers, you may make donation to Antioch Baptist Church Building Fund, 2080 Hwy. 129 Galivants Ferry, SC 29544. Graveside services will be livestreamed.
