Travis Gene Guy, 70, died peacefully early Wednesday morning (December 10, 2025) at Hospice House Satilla following a brief illness.
Travis was a native and life-long resident of Brantley County and was a 1974 graduate of Brantley County High School.
He was the son of the late Rev. Marvin Guy and Berniece Duncan Guy. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Tony Wesley Guy, Sr, a niece and two nephews.
He retired in 2019 from Nutrien Ag Solutions which was formerly Gold Kist and Southern States with a total of 40 years of service. Travis was a member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church of Hoboken and was formerly a member of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church in his younger years.
Survivors include two daughters: Valerie K. of Germany and Shauna T. (husband Ethan) of Florida; one granddaughter, two grandsons, one great granddaughter and one great grandson; two sisters: Mary Ann Anderson (husband Wayne) and Bea Davis both of Waycross; three brothers: Billy Guy (wife Brenda) of Adairsville, GA, Rev. James Guy (wife Sandra) of Dallas, GA, and Rev. Johnny Guy (wife Brenda) of Homerville, GA and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
In lieu of flowers the family request that individuals plant a tree in Travis' memory.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday (December 13, 2025) in the Music Funeral Home Chapel. The family will start receiving friends at 10:00 AM Saturday at Music Funeral Home.
