Travis Van Nguyen, aged 48, of Alma, passed away on Wednesday, March 19, 2025. Born on October 10, 1976, in Vietnam, he was the beloved son of The Van Nguyen and Luyen Thi Le. Travis moved to the United States in 1993 and completed his high school education in Arlington, Texas. In September 2000, he married Tanya Ong, with whom he had four daughters: Karen, Brianna, Natalee, and Jaclyn. After Tanya's passing in 2013, Travis found love again and married Xuan Thi Bui in 2014, and they were blessed with another daughter, Vivian.
Travis was a dedicated entrepreneur, owning and operating California Nails and LA Nails in Alma. He was known for his love of fishing, karaoke, barbecuing, soccer, and badminton, and cherished spending time with his family and friends. A hard worker, Travis was deeply loved by his community.
He is survived by his wife, Xuan; his daughters, Karen, Brianna, Natalee, Jaclyn, and Vivian; his parents; three brothers; and one sister. He was predeceased by his first wife, Tanya Ong, in 2013.
A Funeral Service for Travis will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 25. The family will receive friends at Charles R. Lux Family Funeral Home on Monday from 4-7 p.m. for visitation. Visitation will continue at the Funeral Home on Tuesday one hour before the Service.
