Travis Rutledge Obituary
Brent was born to Travis and Lucille Rutledge of Walters, OK on August 2,1937. He graduated from Limon High School in Colorado in 1955 before attending Oklahoma Christian University for 2 1/2 years. He then started his career as an oilfield consulting engineer.
Travis Brent Rutledge and Lyla Mae Bergeron were married on September 12,1958. Throughout their marriage they have lived in many places, enjoying adventures in all of them for almost 65 years. Brent enjoyed playing golf, hunting, and fishing, but most of all, spending time with his family. He was the type of man to help anyone at any time.
Brent is survived by the love of his life Lyla Mae Rutledge, along with his children and their families: Daughter Marybeth Rutledge; son Mike Rutledge and children Cameron Robert Mathis, Jenna Ruth Rutledge, and Couper Brent Rutledge; daughter Michelle (Mark) Ann Womacks and children Micah (Alejandra) Todd Womacks, and Matthew James Womacks; daughter Melissa (Greg) Kay Vogle and children Joshua Ross Vogle, as well as Amanda Lee Vogle and child Emanuel Kingston Berlanga IV; He is also survived by two sisters, Jo Anna Hopkins, and Sherry (Charlie) Lou Kirk.
Brent's friends and family are invited to share happy memories and celebrate Brent's life in the way he would want to be remembered - as a loving and caring man who enjoyed life.
