Travis Lee Sinning
July 17, 1975 - February 8, 2024
It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Travis Lee Sinning, aged 48, on the afternoon of Thursday, February 8, 2024. Born in Guymon, Oklahoma, Travis's journey through life was one marked by joy, kindness, and an unwavering generosity of spirit that touched all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Travis's early years were spent in the close-knit community of his birthplace, shaping the man he would become. A proud graduate of Yarbrough High School, he carried the values of his upbringing throughout his life. His career in food service was a testament to his love for people, a path that allowed him to express his caring nature daily.
Beyond his professional life, Travis was a passionate collector of antiques and stamps, each piece a story, a memory, that he cherished deeply. These collections were more than hobbies; they were reflections of his appreciation for history and the intricate stories woven into the fabric of everyday objects.
Travis is survived by his father, Terry Sinning (Bobbie), his sister Christine Smestuen, and his brother Trenten Sinning, niece Danielle Pense, and nephew Dylan Pense. His life was enriched by his loving partner, Christopher Jennings, with whom he shared a deep bond. Travis was preceded in death by his mother, Rosemary Sinning, his grandfather, Floyd Sinning, and husband, Alton Welch. All three left a lasting impact on his heart.
The loss of Travis has left an indelible mark on his friends, family, and all who knew him. Remembered as a "great human being," "a bright light," and "a sweet soul," his departure has caused immense sorrow. Yet, amidst the grief, there is a collective remembrance of the laughter, kindness, and joy Travis brought into our lives.
The outpouring of love and condolences from the community, both in person and through social media, underscores the profound effect Travis had on those around him. His legacy is one of love, laughter, and the enduring light he brought into the lives of everyone he touched.
As we mourn his passing, we also celebrate the extraordinary life of Travis Lee Sinning. His memory will continue to inspire and influence us, a lasting testament to the incredible person he was. Travis's spirit, characterized by generosity and an infectious joy for life, will forever be missed but always cherished.
In this time of sorrow, we extend our deepest sympathies to Travis's family, partner, and friends. May we find comfort in our memories and solace in the knowledge that his legacy will live on through each of us.
Expressions of condolence and memories of Travis are welcomed as we come together to honor his remarkable life.
There is no public service scheduled at this time. A memorial for Travis will be announced at a later date.

Alton brought Travis into the Hardback Cafe to introduce us. After that they came every Friday. Travis was a truly kind and sweet person. I will miss him forever.
