Walter Edwin Gould, Junior, went home to be with the Lord on February 23, 2026, at the age of 80. "Eddy" was born to Mary Evelyn Duty and Walter Edwin Gould, Senior on November 12, 1945, in Llano, Texas. Eddy was educated in the Llano school system and graduated from the University of Texas at Austin earning a Bachelors degree in Business Administration. Eddy was married to Christine Marine for 48 years.

A lifelong resident of Llano, Eddy grew up attending the First Christian Church where he served on the youth council. Graduating from Llano High School, Eddy was on the golf team and was named "Class Favorite." Upon graduation from UT, he returned home to Llano to join the family business, Premier Granite Quarries, as an accountant and later general manager, completing three generations of participation in the monument and granite exportation firm. He served his community on the Llano ISD School Board for multiple terms. Eddy finished his career as Credit Manager with the Buttery Company of Llano.

Eddy was an avid hunter and golfer, always enjoying the camaraderie found at the Llano Golf Course. An advanced martial arts student and instructor, he continued to sharpen his skills well into his adult years. Eddy enjoyed the outdoors, exercise, gardening and woodworking. Whatever he did, it was with precision, excellence and a meticulous eye.

Known as a man of few words but much wit and humor, a great laugh and that rugged ensemble complete with his signature fedora, Eddy's greatest loves were his Lord and his family.

Eddy is survived by his wife, Chris of Llano, daughters, Stacy Gould Runnels and husband James of Marshall and Stacy's mother, Barbara Carpenter Gibson, Jasmine Speer and husband Coy of Coleman, granddaughters Anna Grace, Runnels Day and husband, Tyler of Marshall, Emma Elizabeth Runnels and fiancée Taylor of Marshall, Olivia Runnels Gaddis and husband Jordy of Marshall, Rose Evelyn Runnels of Marshall, Ella Kathryn Runnels of Marshall and great grandchildren Nora Elise Day, Drew Michael Day, and Samuel James Gaddis, all of Marshall.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Llano Municipal Airport to honor the legacy and leadership of his mother, Mary Evelyn Gould.
