Travis Eugene Wade, 65, Of Baconton, GA died Friday, October 13, 2017 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be held Monday at 2:00 PM at Mathews Funeral Home. Rev. Tom Newman will officiate. Interment will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery. A native of Colquitt County, GA, born to the late Thomas E. and Zola Wade, Travis grew up Albany, GA. He was employed with Wayne’s Radiator Shop and was a Baptist by faith. Travis moved to Baconton in 1988 and was an avid outdoorsman, including deer hunting, dove hunting and fishing. Survivors include his wife, Faye Wade, two children, Tracy Wade and his wife, Tracy and Travis Wade, Jr. all of Baconton, GA, his siblings, Lois Bush and Thomas E. Wade, Jr. both of Albany, GA, his grandchildren, Katie Wade and Cody Wade both of Baconton, GA, Travis Wade III of Reidsville, GA, Donna Wade and Dawn Wade both of Albany, Ga., Emily (Isaac) Rivis, Peggy Averitt, Nancy Averitt and Nathan Averitt all of Edison, GA and his great-grandchildren, Hunter Wade, Tyler Wade, and Noah Wade all of Thomasville, GA. The family will receive friends Sunday from 6:00 PM to 8:00 pm at Mathews Funeral Home.
