Mr. Tre Wilson Whitehurst

Tre' Wilson Whitehurst, son of Terrence and Tanisa Whitehurst, was born on April 1, 1999 in Williamston, North Carolina. He departed this earthly life on Monday, January 5, 2026.

Tre' was educated in the Martin County Public Schools in Williamston, NC. He enjoyed athletics and played basketball, football, and ran track & field for Riverside High School. Upon graduation he attended NC Central University in Durham, North Carolina.

Tre' was employed by ITW Medical in Washington, North Carolina.

Tre' joined the Chapel Hill Baptist Church under the leadership of his grandfather, Pastor Rondy Wilson. He was the lead drummer for all three choirs for many years. Whenever he was not working, he would attend and fill in on the drums as needed.

Tre' was preceded in death by his aunt, Lakeisha ReShon Wilson, grandparent Clarence Whitehurst, great grandparents, Thomas & Elsie Mae Boston, Joseph Moore Modica, Ethel and Joe Wilson, Flowater and Robert Whitehurst.

Tre' leaves to cherish his memories, his father Terrence Whitehurst, mother, Tanisa Whitehurst, brother, Tyler Whitehurst, grandparents: Pastor Rondy and Gail Wilson and Velma Whitehurst, great grandmother, Jannie A. Modica, uncles: Tim (Lynshonda) Peele, Keith (Nikitia) Whitehurst, Clarence C. Whitehurst, Michael (Edith) Smith, aunt, Shanton Whitehurst, a host of cousins, relatives and friends.
