Trenda Deanne Thornton, born on January 27, 1962, in Pryor, Oklahoma, passed away on October 1, 2025, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She lived a vibrant life filled with joy, love, and a deep appreciation for family.
Trenda was a devoted mother to her four children: John, Jared, Robert, and Katie Hamill. Her nurturing spirit and unwavering support will be cherished by them as they remember the countless memories created together. She also leaves behind a close-knit family, including her beloved brother James Thornton and wife Nancy, her brother Robert Thornton, and her sister Linda Benham. Trenda further extended her love and kindness to many nieces and nephews, who held a special place in her heart.
A woman of many interests, Trenda found great happiness in shopping and traveling, particularly to concerts—an endeavor that allowed her to connect with her favorite music. Her musical tastes were a wide variety; she enjoyed K-Pop, the classic sounds of Elvis, and various country tunes, which became the backdrop for joyful moments spent with family and friends. Trenda's passion for antiques brought her immense joy, and she loved sharing her finds and stories with those around her.
Trenda is predeceased by her cherished parents, Junior Cabe and Kathryn (Thornton) Smith, her sister Shirley Mathews, and her significant other, Jim Hamill. Their memories will forever be a guiding light for her family.
Though she has departed from this world, Trenda's spirit, warmth, and love will endure in the hearts of those she touched. Her legacy of family devotion and her zest for life will be remembered fondly by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
