Sister Trenita Evon Hodge-Mims was born to Wayne and Dorothy Bardwell Hodge on April 5, 1974, at Milan Hospi-tal in Milan, TN.

Trenita accepted Christ at an early age at Bluff Spring Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor L.E. Freemon. She graduated from Milan High School in 1992 with honors. Trenita graduated magna cumlaude from the University of Memphis in 1996. She received her Master of Arts from the University of Southern Mississippi in 2004. She worked in the school system as an educator for many years. Trenita was an education consultant from 2010 to 2024, supporting teachers and students across the U.S. and Europe. She volunteered at the girls' schools, as well as in church, local communities and the military communities.

She visited at least seventeen countries and lived and worked in Japan, Germany, and the United Kingdom. Trenita spoke Japanese and Spanish. She trained her fellow teachers on a variety of technology platforms. Trenita met the love of her life in Germany. They were married on July 29, 2006.

Trenita leaves to mourn in her passing her loving husband Anthony Mims; two beautiful daughters Cecilia and Naomi Mims, Fairburn, GA; father and mother Wayne and Dorothy Hodge, Milan, TN; brothers Alexter Hodge and Quentin Hodge, Lebanon, TN; father and mother-in-law Moses and Betty Mims, Aiken, SC; sister and brother-in-law Erica and Dolphus Bell, Grovetown, GA; nieces: Kalah, Maci, Amiyah, Isabelle, Eden, and Delaney; nephews: Andruw, Kaden, and Nathaniel; great nieces: Aubrey, Avalynn, and Jocelyn; godnephew Christopher; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her son Malachi James Mims; grandparents Howard and Beulah Bardwell; grandparents Walter and Wilma Hodge; several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
