HANOVER CHAPEL
Mrs. Treva Mae Martin Moreland, age 79 of Hanover, Indiana, entered this life on May 26, l943 in Madison, Indiana. She was the loving daughter of the late H. E. "Slick" and Virginia Robertson Martin. She attended Central School on Ryker's Ridge, elementary through 9th grade. She then attended Saluda School and received a GED from Saluda High School. She married Patrick R. Moreland on September 6, 1959 in Rolla, Missouri. This happy union of 63 years was blessed with a son, Steven, and daughters, Deborah and Deanna. After their children became teenagers, she resumed her education and graduated from Ivy Tech Community College as a state certified medical assistant. She worked at Joyce Shoe, Army Air Force Exchange, Jefferson Proving Ground, part time home health, and retired from Duke Energy after 23 years. She attended New Prospect Baptist Church, and had been a member of Ryker's Ridge Baptist Church during her youth. She was a member of the women's auxiliary of the Major Samuel Woodfill Post No. 9 of the American Legion. She also volunteered as a docent at the Lanier Mansion in downtown Madison. Treva enjoyed researching family genealogy, riding the motorcycle with her husband, collecting antiques, sewing, quilting, fishing, camping and NASCAR racing. Her home down by the Ohio River was a haven for family and friends. She also enjoyed boating on the Ohio River and having her grandchildren and great grandchildren around her was her greatest joy. She was a devoted wife, loving mom, grandma and friend. Treva died on Sunday, September 25, 2022 at 3:28 p.m. at the Norton Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky with her loving family at her side. A LOVING FAMILY
Treva will be missed by her loving son, Steven W. Moreland and his companion Pamela Cyrus Hamilton of Madison, Indiana; her loving daughters, Deborah L. "Debbie" Gosman and her husband John of Milton, Kentucky, Deanna C. Davis of Kokomo, Indiana; her daughter in law, Judy Andrew of Hanover, Indiana; her grandchildren, Jennifer Cox, Michelle Hertz (Kyle), Steven Singer, Alisha Howell (Brian) and the late, Ryan Patrick Moreland; her step grandchildren, Natasha Melton, Justin Brooks, Renae Sewall, Arlene Callaghan, and Patty Gosman; her great grandchildren, Allison, Breanna, Emma, Bailey, Sydney, Mali, Aiden, Brycen, Hunter, Brayden, Justice, Hailey, and Sophia; her step great grandchildren, Nora, Sara, Aleeyiah, Sureniti, Colton, Madison, Alexa, Jordan, Sophia, Avery, Evan, Shanta, Shayla, Ty, and Brenden; her great great granddaughter, Maddie; her sister, Cheryl Geiss and her husband Vernon of Floyd Knobs, Indiana; her sister in laws, Ann Martin of Greensburg, Indiana and Martha LeGrand of Hanover, Indiana; her best friend who was like a brother, Raymond Newman; several nieces, nephews and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her father, Hazel Edward "Slick" Martin, died April 12, 1969, her mother, Virginia Robertson Martin, died August 10, 2006, her husband of 59 years, Patrick Ray "Pat" Moreland died September 16, 2018, her grandson, Ryan Patrick Moreland, died July 21, 2011, her brothers, George Robert "Bob" Martin, died April 2, 2017 and Richard Elles Martin, and her best friend who was like her sister, Janet Canter.
FUNERAL CEREMONY
Funeral services will be conducted Friday, September 30, 2022, at 3:00 p.m., at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre - Hanover Chapel, 278 East Main Street in Hanover, Indiana. Interment will follow in the New Prospect Cemetery near Hanover, Indiana.

VISITATION
Friends may visit Thursday from 4:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. and Friday from 2:00 p.m. until the time of service at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre - Hanover Chapel, 278 East Main Street in Hanover, Indiana.
