Big Rapids - Trevor Anderson, 79, born in Belfast, Northern Ireland, July 8, 1946, passed away peacefully in his sleep Nov. 1, 2025, at his home in Big Rapids, Michigan.
Trevor was adopted by Mrs. Elizabeth Palmer, and grew up with his much older adopted and loving brother and sister, George and Georgina, of Belfast, who nurtured his spirit and kindness from a young age. His adventurous soul took him around the world, including a memorable chapter living in Amsterdam, where he met his wife, Lynn, and began his family. Trevor's life was a tapestry of vibrant experiences, from working as a driver for Coca-Cola to his time at the Shaffey Theater.
Eventually settling in Big Rapids, Trevor managed the family bar, the Sawmill, before embracing his independence as a truck driver or as he called himself, a tourist, a profession he enjoyed until his retirement. His life was filled with passion for football, avidly supporting Manchester City and Glasgow Rangers, always with a Guinness in hand.
Trevor cherished his family deeply-his wife, Lynn; twin sons, Danny (wife Mary) and Brian (wife Nicole); his grandsons, Ronin and Ivan; brother-in-law, Dan Proctor (wife Dale Robbins), niece Kelly; nephews Tom and Mike; and special friend, Michael Ryan. His home on Michigan Avenue was a reflection of his artistic soul, with creative details everywhere that told stories of his rich life. He loved animals, sharing his love with many pets over the years.
A man of strong convictions, Trevor was known for his honesty, steadfastness, and unwavering principles. His love for his Jaguar, and the Ulster identification on every vehicle license plate, reflected his pride and personality. Trevor was a loyal friend and a man of his word, whose presence touched many lives.
Trevor Anderson will be missed dearly, but his legacy lives on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
Rest in Power, Trevor.
