Trevor Norman Long

Trevor Norman Long (AKA Norm or Butch) passed away Thursday February 19, 2026 in Salinas. He

Was born August 4, 1937 in Huntington Park, CA.

He lived in Salinas, Ca. for 55 years.

Trevor is preceded in Death: by his Father George Norman Long and Mother Jessie Joy Chambers, Sister,

Roberta May Neal.

SURVIVORS:

Norm is survived by his wife, No Thi Long, daughter and son-in-law Carolyn and Kevin, and his two grandsons Ethan and Evan Silacci.

Norm proudly served in the US Army for 22 years and was a decorated Vietnam Veteran. After retiring he obtained his Associates Degree of which he was very proud and worked many years in cold storage management. He worked well past retirement enjoying is position at Central Cold Storage.

Norm loved golf, his wife and his family…likely in that order.

He passed after a long fight with renal disease and dementia at home with his wife at his side.

At his request, there are no funeral services, however, there will be a Military Honors at his interment at the California Central Coast Veteran's Cemetery, 2900 Parker Flats Road, Seaside, CA. 93955. Tuesday March 10, 2026 at 2pm. This will be a small gathering to honor his service and commitment to country and family.
