Sonja M Brock

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Sonja M. Brock, who left this world on January 29, 2026, at the age of 76. Born on February 23, 1949, in Vienna, Austria. Sonja was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend whose life was defined by love and compassion.

Sonja was preceded in death by her parents, Franz and Herta Weisz-Pillar; her stepfather, Herb Piller; her sisters, Sylvia Manzanares and Christie Crowell; and her beloved daughter, Lisa Blaha-Hale.

She will be remembered for her warmth, generosity, and unwavering support of those around her. Sonja had a rare gift for making others feel truly seen and valued. She cherished opportunities to travel and spend time with family, and through heartfelt conversations, she formed meaningful and lasting connections wherever she went.

Family was the center of Sonja's world. She poured her heart into caring for those she loved, creating a legacy grounded in compassion. The strength and closeness of her family stand as a testament to her nurturing spirit and enduring love.

Sonja is survived by her six grandchildren: Cody Cornwell-Blaha, Taylor (Brandon) Pate (Blaha), Alexa Hale, Mathew (Nancy) Blaha, Amanda Geiger, and Melanie Blaha; her great-grandson, Braxton Pate; her siblings, Herbert "Herb" Pillar, brother; Ingrid (Ed) McCallum and Suzanne " Suzy" (Gary) Navo; her son-in-law, Paul (Kim) Blaha; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

Though her passing leaves an immeasurable void, her memory will live on in the love she shared and the countless lives she touched.
