John Trevor Keola Kahupokane Morrison
Trevor Morrison, a young man who spent the majority of his years in
Colville, WA, passed away July 31, 2023 in Colville at the age of 22. Trevor was born on December 20, 2000 in
Spokane, WA the son of John Kimo and Nikole Elizabeth (Orcutt) Morrison.
From the very start of his life, Trevor was a soul in constant motion. His earliest years were spent on the wrestling mat where he began learning life and wrestling skills. He worked his way through the Mat Rats and Basement Boys wrestling programs while attending grade school in Colville. When he wasn't wrestling, Trevor was on the Football and Baseball Fields raising the bar for his achievement daily. After school and on weekends, he would rush into the woods, often with a sidekick (family and/or friend) in search of the perfect hunting spots and fishing holes. His energy was boundless and embraced the outdoors where he could hike, camp, swim, boat, fish, and hunt. During his high school years, Trevor continued to excel in athletics and traveled all over the U.S. wrestling. With his passion for the sport and endless hours training, Trevor became a 3-time Washington State Wrestling Champion. He was also a key member of the Colville Football and wrestling Team that earned a State Championships his senior year. Trevor graduated from Colville High School in 2019 and then attended Oregon State University. There he was active in the wrestling program and looking forward to his spot on the team as a sophomore. He returned home and began working with his grandfather in the concrete business. He enjoyed working with alongside family and put in long days of setting forms, pouring, finishing concrete and building a foundation for the future of others. He also worked several years alongside his parents and siblings at the family restaurant, Brown Boyz Ohana Eatery in Colville.
Trevor had a great love for people and loved to share his wrestling passion. He was a mentor for little guy wrestling and underclassmen he loved sharing his skillset and love for the sport. He and His brothers and Father AKA Coach Kimo spent countless weekends traveling to wrestling tournaments near and far. Having Crazy adventures and if you know wrestlers lots of fun was had making new friends along the way. Some of his best friends were made on and off the mat. He loved to hunt and in the early morning hours of the winter water fowl season, Trevor was often camouflaged and awaiting day break for the duck and goose hunt to begin. In the evenings, Trevor often picked up a game controller and adventured into the virtual world, as the Flying Hawaiian, a nickname worn for many years by his grandfather J.B. Morrison. To most, he was affectionately known as "Trev-dawg", a kind, handsome, smart, whole hearted and hopeless romantic. He grew up surrounded by his large family of siblings, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and life long friends Ryder, Blake, Johnny and Bremen to name a few. with an inseparable bond to each of them. His smile, free spirit, supportive nature and attentive friendship will be cherished forever. If you had the privilege of meeting Trevor, He became your friend and he had a smile and a big bear hug for you. to know him was to love him.
