Funeral services celebrating the life of Trinah Michelle Lewing, age 58 will be held at 3:00 P. M. Sunday, June 30, 2024 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 705 S. Spruce Street, Vivian, LA. Officiating at the service will be Albert Tucker. Interment will follow at the Vivian Cemetery. There will be a time of visitation on Sunday, June 30th from 2:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Trinah was born in Muskogee, Oklahoma on August 27, 1965 to Freddie Charles Hawkins and Yvonne Jones Henderson and passed away on June 25, 2024 in Bossier City, LA.
Trinah spent 31 years of her life working at Walmart. She loved to travel and her favorite place to be was at the beach. She cared deeply about being around family and adored time with her grandbabies. Trinah had a loving heart and cared greatly about the happiness of others. Her smiles and laughter will be missed dearly by all of those close to her.
Trinah is preceded in death by her husband, Paul “P.J.” Lewing, Jr; aunts, Alta Carter, Adine Bickerstaff, Frances Land and Ronona Hale.
Those left to cherish her memory are her Fiancé, Don Sedrick of Beauford, SC, her children, Heather Briggs (Clay) of Blanchard, LA and Jeffrey Briggs of Dallas, TX; mother, Yvonne Jones Henderson of Vivian, LA; sister, Kimberly Rachal of Vivian, LA; step brother, Ronnie Hedges of Forney, TX.. She is also survived by her precious grandchildren, Kaylee Abbitt, Karlee Abbitt, Ethan Carman and Rylan Williams; nephew, Justin Hawkins (Gillian); uncles, Charles Jones of Three States, LA, Donice Jones (Judy) of Doddridge, AR, her cousins and a host of friends.
Honoring Trinah as pallbearers will be Stevie Barr, Brian Rachal, Norman Carter, Clayton Williams, Joseph Garcia and Scott Whitecotton. Honorary pallbearers will be Justin Hawkins and Jeff Johnson.
