St. Martinville - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, November 4, 2023 at Notre Dame Catholic Church for Trisha Willis Johnson, 49, who passed away on Monday, October 23, 2023 in St. Martinville.
A visitation will take place at Notre Dame Catholic Church on Saturday from 7:00 am until the time of Mass at 11:00 am.
A rosary will be prayed at 9:30 am on Saturday morning.
Rev. Abelardo Gabriel, SVD will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Interment will follow at Queen of Peace Cemetery.
Trisha was a remarkable woman whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Known for her love of dancing, singing, fashion, and shopping, she always had an eye for finding the perfect pair of shoes. As a dedicated salesperson in the retail industry, Trisha exuded warm and friendly energy, making connections with anyone. Her free-spirit endeared her to everyone she met.
Aside from her passion for fashion, Trisha's greatest joy came from spending quality time with her loved ones. Her unwavering devotion to family and friends served as an inspiration to all. Trisha was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, daughter and sister, who will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her husband of 4 years, Willie Johnson, Jr.; daughters, Torri Willis and Alysia Johnson; son, Zaylun Johnson; grandchild, Iyla Narcisse; father, Arthur Willis; sister, Arletta Willis; nephew, Abrien Ledet; father-in-law, Willie Johnson, Sr.; and mother-in-law, Mary Pickens.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Lynie Kately Willis; paternal grandparents, Arthur and Irene Willis; maternal grandparents, Sam and Virginia Kately; and numerous aunts and uncle.
