About two weeks ago, this lovely young man dropped by Monelison Middle School to introduce himself to Mr. Martin (the assistant principal) and me. He wanted to take a look around campus because he had just been assigned to keep our school family safe. He was friendly and warm and had a twinkle in his eye. My heartfelt sympathy is extended to you with the loss of your loved one. May your fond memories of your time together help you during this most difficult time. I didn't know Trooper Dowell but in reading all of the great things his friends and fellow officers had to say about him he was a wonderful person. His life was taken so early in the line of duty he loved and he is to be admired for all his dedication, not only in protecting others, but in helping others any way he could. I pray that knowing he is in Heaven with God will ease your pain and sorrow. God Bless You!
