Troy Beitel
Our loving son, father, grandfather, brother and uncle, Troy Jason Beitel, passed away September 20, 2024, at Utah Valley Hospital due to complications of congestive and congenital heart disease. He was 45.
Troy was born on February 13, 1979, on Scott Air Force Base in Belleville, Illinois, to James Albert Beitel and Sharon Tucker. Married Brandi Durfee on October 28, 2000.
Troy was a die-hard Tennessee Titans fan, always representing the Titan's blue, navy and red. He thoroughly enjoyed fishing and camping with family, and cherished the times spent with them while recreating. Troy was also a longtime resident of the Layton and Ogden areas. He will be missed greatly by his family and a community of friends.
He is survived by his wife, Brandi Durfee, Pueblo, CO; four children, Alisa Cunnington, Salt Lake City, UT, Kaleb Smith, Ogden, UT, Draven Beitel, Grand Junction, CO, Karma Beitel, Pueblo, CO; mother, Sharon (Steve) Mason, Price, UT; sister, Kimberley (Kevin) Schillinger, Peoria, IL; brother, Travis (Deanna) Beitel, Syracuse, UT; grandson, Grayson Smith.
Troy is preceded in death by his father, James Beitel.
The family wishes to sincerely thank Dr. John H. Mitchell and the staff at Utah Valley Hospital for their loving care of our beloved Troy.
Celebration of life, Wednesday, October 2, 2024, 2:00 p.m., Mitchell Funeral Home where the family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
