Troy Alan Butler died December 24, 2024 at the age of 57.
Troy was born in Madison Heights and was raised in Troy Michigan by his parents, Mary Ann and Troy Butler Senior.
With great determination, Troy took every challenge and turned it into success. Graduating in 1982 from Kimball high school, Troy continued his education by achieving a Bachelor's in social work at Rochester College, and later decided to further his education with a Master's degree from Madonna University in counseling. Troy had many seats within the community. To name a few; Vice President of his Wordman Club, board member of Oakland County Recipient Rights, chairman for CMH (Community mental health, Oakland), Fellow Mason Brother, and last, but not least, and was his current position, President of Resident Council Masonic/Pathways.
With volunteering between his many active duties, Troy spent numerous hours fundraising for the Macomb Oakland Regional Center, Paws with a Cause Michigan, and his very own black tie scholarship event at Rochester College, which awarded two recipients every year.
Troy had a strong faith in Christ, which was expressed through the love and compassion he spread throughout his community and beyond. Troy reached thousands throughout his lifetime, advocating for those who needed a voice, and he will be loved and missed by his dear family, friends, and community.
Funeral Service Saturday January 4, 2024 12 PM at Faith Apostolic Church of Troy, 6710 Crooks Rd., Troy. Visitation at the church begins at 10:30 AM.
